NOC Innovation Day: Space-Enabled Maritime Domain Awareness

Wednesday 13 May 2026, 9:30am - 12:30pm
Join us at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) Innovation Hub for a dedicated Innovation day delivered in partnership with Liz Clutton, Space South Central and Grant Day, ESA BASS Ambassador. This focused event will explore how space assets are transforming Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and strengthening Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) capabilities through GNSS and complementary technologies.
Bringing together industry, academia, and government stakeholders, the day will explore applications of satellite Earth Observation, GNSS, and resilient PNT solutions to address maritime security, safety, environmental monitoring, and operational efficiency challenges.
The event will feature:
- Expert insights on space-enabled Maritime Domain Awareness
- Opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and innovation
- Networking with leaders across the maritime and space communities
- Examples of ESA funded projects that enhance Maritime Domain Awareness, and details of how to apply for funding your company's ideas
Whether you are developing new technologies, seeking operational solutions, or exploring collaborative opportunities, this Innovation Day provides a platform to connect, share expertise, and shape the future of space-enabled maritime capability.
